I recently came across a fascinating study of 3,684 people suggesting that meditation might actually serve as an opening to paranormal experiences. The conclusion was that avid meditators are more accepting of the unknown or unseen, and they’re more likely to have experienced paranormal activity compared to non-meditators. The research hit close to home. I’ve been consistently practicing transcendental meditation taught by Bob Roth twice a day and have found that the quietness has brought not only relaxation, but also deepened my understanding of the world, life and consciousness.
Several months ago, I felt a bit of discord in my meditation. Something was off. Sure enough, toward the end of my session there was a loud explosion that rocked our community and shut down the power. It was traced to a lightning strike, which I somehow telegraphed. It was very odd. I remember a morning meditation several years ago when a nephew inexplicably entered my thoughts. I felt a need to reach out, and so I contacted his father but didn’t hear back until later in the day when I was told that my nephew had passed away from a drug overdose.
Once you transcend from the conscious to subconscious and then transcendent level, it opens a portal to the quantum field where possibilities are endless. You begin to have an openness for things that are unseen but potentially felt, including divine beings, angels and reincarnation. When you get into that meditative state, it becomes easier to see beyond yourself and open up to the possibility of past lives, ghosts or spirits, as well as accept the possibility of life on other planets, UFOs and miracles.
