There are numerous benefits to microdosing, which has long fueled creativity. Everyone from artists, poets and actors to software developers and entrepreneurs are known to have used psychedelics to enhance creativity and productivity, as well as solve complex tasks. But one area that’s not always discussed is how regularly ingesting tiny amounts of psychoactive psilocybin mushrooms and other natural substances help reduce stress and anxiety in a chaotic and unpredictable world.
When used in conjunction with other healthy practices such as journaling, meditation and exercise, it can be completely transformational in terms of nourishing the body, mind and spirit. These natural helpers are actually much safer and more efficacious than prescribed antidepressants. People who have been microdosing for many years often say that psilocybin enhances feeling of wellbeing and provides a natural boost of internal energy that fuels a positive attitude.
There’s also a greater tendency to live in the present and be more steeped in communication. Talk about a healthier alternative to caffeine! Or marijuana, which slows down and tires out so many of its users. Some women who take small amounts of psychoactive psilocybin two or three times a week even report much brighter colors and notice more beauty.
Although taken in small doses, these substances can have a significant impact. Any feelings of stress or anxiety are replaced by a sense of calm, relief and wellbeing. A group I’m involved with, Third Wave, has done lots of research on the use of microdosing to reduce stress and anxiety for those who’d like to learn more about the power of this practice.
